COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparedness

Your health and well being is our primary concern.  As the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues, we want to reassure you about the sterilization techniques that have always been employed by Abbett & Associates, as well as increased measures we are now taking to provide you with a safer and more sanitary environment when you visit us.

The current standards of care that apply to all dental offices are a product of past infectious disease outbreaks.  These standards have long required us to treat all patients as if they have a communicable disease when they walk into our office, and include stringent sterilization procedures to prevent the spread of any such disease to other patients or staff.  We uphold the same standards as a medical office, but unlike a doctors' office, or hospital, our patients are generally healthy and are not being treated for contagious illnesses in our office.  The result is that dental offices are among the safest places at times like these.

Because our team has been trained and educated in these procedures, and we take them seriously, you can be reassured that during your visit all instruments and materials are sterile, that dental providers will use personal protective devices (gloves, masks, etc.), and that all dental chairs and treatment rooms are sanitized between patients.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have also taken action to increase the sanitation levels of our common areas.  These measures include the removal of books and magazines from waiting areas, and frequent sanitation of door handles and other frequently touched areas, surfaces and objects throughout the office.

While we are confident in the measures we are taking to keep you safe when you visit us, if you have been experiencing signs of acute respiratory illness such as coughing, fever and shortness of breath, please contact us so we can reschedule your appointment.

Until further notice, our office remains open and committed to serving and protecting the community and you.  We are honored you have chosen us as your dental home.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. 541-779-9059.
