If you haven’t been to the Jackson County Fair, you are missing a wonderful local experience. This year’s fair at the Jackson County Expo had so some much to see and do including all the great things you expect from a fair such as live music concerts, corn dogs, carnival rides, livestock!
Did you know the fair also commits to providing young students a path to achievement in premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education through the 4-H program? And 4-H is the largest youth development organization in America empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime. Kids learn and grow with complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship.
So, Believe It or Not (we barely can ourselves), Abbett and Associates bought a pig raised by one of these young people. Yes, a pig. For a second year! Here’s the certificate of proof along with our patient Quintin Holcomb who did an awesome job raising his pig named Smalls.
We feel privileged to be able to contribute and proud to have an annual tradition of support to such a great youth organization.
