If you haven't been to the Jackson County Fair, you are missing a wonderful local experience. This year's fair, held July 20-15 at the county expo, had bull riding, magicians, pig racing, water walking bubbles, and a free petting zoo. All this in addition to the live music concerts, corn dogs, carnival rides, livestock and everything else a great fair has!
Abbett and Associates was lucky enough to have gone a few days ago and support our local 4-H (Head, Heart, Health and Hands) and FFA (Future Farmers of America). Did you know these two fine organizations commit to provide to young students a path to achievement in premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education? And that the 4-H is the largest youth development organization in America empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. with the skills to lead for a lifetime? Kids learn and grow with complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and citizenship. So, Believe It or Not (we barely can ourselves), Abbett and Associates bought a pig grown by one of these young people. Yes, a pig. Here's the certificate of proof! We feel privileged to be able to contribute to such great youth organizations. :)
Can't wait until next year July when the fair is back again!
